The pine tree, protruding from the roof of the community center, is said to be 350 years old.
The starting point of this excursion is the Matsuno Yu Community Center, which was originally a bath house.

Kaguji Square

Kaguji Square is a park that was built as a shared space by combining the backyards of some merchants on Komise Street.
The spacious grassed park features the “Koi Yosare” monument designed by Kuroishi high school students and a stone monument dedicated for songwriters with ties to Kuroishi city.

Kanehiranarien Garden

Surrounded by a wooden fence, the garden makes one forget they are in a city. The garden features the Oishi Bugakuryu style.(Paid Admission/Open Limited Time)

Daini Fire Department Station

Built in 1920 (Taisho era), this fire station has been restored to its original appearance with wooden doors by local residents, replacing the aluminum shutters that were once used due to decay.
It has become a symbol of the town’s eagerness to preserve the old traditions.

Kunohe Family Residence

The residence is an authentic samurai house in existence since Edo era.
While the inside of the house is not open to public viewing, the exterior is worth seeing with the well-maintained thatched roof.

Gokokusui Springwater

This spring water was once chosen for making tea by Kazanin Tadanaga, a court official in the beginning of Edo era.(undrinkable)

Kuroishi Shrine

Kuroishi Shrine is the resting place of the Tsugaru Kuroishi Clan founding father, Tsugaru Nobufusa.
It is a key historical site in the history of Kuroishi. Tokunaga Ieyasu is also worshiped here after the relocation from the old Hirosaki Toshogu.

Togawa Sake Shop

Togawa Sake Shop was once a sake warehouse until the beginning of Showa era, holding a storefront towards the town of Yamagatamachi.
Today, it permanently exhibits pictures and traditional dolls from the old times.

Kin no Icho

Kin no Icho is a soba restaurant with a serene ambience, where guests can enjoy their specialty towari soba (soba noodles with 100% buckwheat) made with spring water from the Hakkoda Mountains.

Tsugaru Kuroishi Komise Eki

As the home of Tsugaru Jongarabushi style, visitors are welcomed with a complementary live Tsugaru Shamisen performance.
Local products and souvenirs are also available.
*The live performance is held twice daily, 11:00AM~ and 2:00 PM. (Saturday and Sunday only during winter months)

Matsuno Yu Community Center

At the final stop of this route, enjoy drinks and sweets at the Tsudoi no Kura Café.
The community center is open freely for resting after the excursion and outside foods and drinks are permitted.
