Lamp no Yado Aoni Onsen

Aoni Onsen the Lamp Inn

Aoni Hot Spring is also known as “Lamp no Yado Aoni Onsen”.
Located in the woods at an elevation of 636 meters, Lamp no Yado Aoni Onsen is a one-of-a-kind hot spring inn which relies only on lamp light just as the old days without electricity.
Once a little-known hot spring, it became a hot spring inn in 1929 after a Kuroishi born poet name Yogaku Niwa, who had ties with well-known poets such as Takuboku Ishikawa, Bokusui Wakayama, and Shiko Munakata, built a cabin to rest to recover from his illness in 1928.
