About Kyakusha

In the city of Kuroishi, Aomori, stands a lodging facility called “Kyakusha”. In the past, it was a long term lodging facility with rooms and a kitchen for guests staying to take hot spring baths for medical purposes.
Guests of the Kyakusha visit the neighboring communal hot spring bathhouses as the facility does not have its own bath on site.
Communal bathhouses have the advantage of keeping the distribution number for one hot spring source low, allowing each bathhouse to enjoy large and well-filled baths. Many guests find new friends as they share a bath together.
At Nuruyu Hot Springs, the communal bathhouses sit in the center of the town surrounded by the kyakusha, the long-term lodge.
